Uzbekistan tests Chinese high-speed trains
Testing of a Chinese high-speed train, capable of carrying 415 passengers and reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h, has begun in Uzbekistan.
A new high-speed train manufactured in China has arrived in the Andijan region of Uzbekistan and is undergoing testing. According to the Andijan regional administration, the train is capable of speeds of up to 160 km/h and can accommodate up to 415 passengers.
Once operational, this train is expected to reduce travel time between Tashkent and Andijan to approximately three hours.
The current tests are part of the trial operation of the train, which is being considered as a modern solution for passenger travel between the capital and Andijan.
The introduction of the high-speed train is intended to improve accessibility between these cities, offering passengers faster and more comfortable travel.
The new route is also expected to increase mobility between regions and make rail travel more efficient.
