Uzbekistan ranks sixth in the world in cherry exports

Uzbekistan has risen to sixth place in the world in terms of cherry exports.

According to the National Statistics Committee, from January to June 2026, Uzbekistan exported a total of 23.3 thousand tons of cherries to 11 foreign countries. The total value of cherries exported during this half-year amounted to 57.9 million US dollars.

According to the UN Comtrade international trade database, in 2024, Uzbekistan supplied 32.2 thousand tons of freshly picked cherries to foreign markets. The total value of this product was equal to 70.4 million dollars.

With this indicator, Uzbekistan took sixth place in the world in terms of cherry exports.

According to the results of 2024, Chile was the leader with 529.5 thousand tons of cherry exports. The next places were occupied by Hong Kong (168.4 thousand tons), the USA (84.2 thousand tons), Turkey (66.5 thousand tons) and Spain (34.1 thousand tons). After Uzbekistan, Greece (28 thousand tons), Azerbaijan (25.8 thousand tons), Austria (18.1 thousand tons) and Moldova (10.1 thousand tons) exported cherries.

According to statistics, the dynamics of Uzbekistan's cherry exports over the past decade has been varied. The highest result was recorded in 2021, when 60.8 thousand tons of cherries were delivered abroad that year.

In 2023, the export volume was 45 thousand tons, in 2024 - 32.2 thousand tons, and in 2025 - 31.7 thousand tons. In the first six months of 2026, 23.3 thousand tons of cherries were sold to foreign markets.
