Uzbekistan ranked second in fixed internet speed among countries with comparable GDP

Uzbekistan ranked second in average fixed broadband upload speed among five countries with a comparable level of GDP per capita.

In January–September 2026, the average speed in the country reached 59.77 Mbps, according to nPerf data.

For comparison, nPerf analyzed five countries with GDP per capita ranging from $3,800 to $6,500. In terms of upload speed, Uzbekistan ranked higher than Morocco, where the figure was 50.54 Mbps, and Indonesia, with a result of 47.41 Mbps.

At a speed of 59.77 Mbps, transferring a 1 GB file takes less than three minutes. This makes it possible to send large files, including video materials and backups, more quickly.

An even more noticeable difference is observed compared to Vietnam. The average fixed broadband upload speed there was 27.68 Mbps. At this rate, transferring a 1 GB file takes almost six minutes.
