Uzbekistan has launched applications for a railway training program in Germany with stipends of up to €1,560

Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency has announced a selection process for young Uzbek citizens who are interested in vocational training and employment as railway track installers in Germany, the press service of the Agency for Vocational Education said. The program is being arranged together with German railway company Deutsche Bahn and includes a three-year dual vocational training course starting on August 30, 2027.

During the training, participants will receive monthly stipends of between €1,400 and €1,560, as well as paid annual leave and extra pay for certain working hours. The vocational program will be held in Augsburg or Munich, Germany, while the theoretical lessons and practical workshops will be based in Augsburg.

The course will combine classroom study with hands-on training at railway construction sites. Participants will be trained in railway track installation and maintenance, including laying rails and turnouts, inspecting tracks, and replacing damaged parts. The three-year program is set to begin on August 30, 2027.

Throughout the training period, participants will receive monthly stipends ranging from €1,400 to €1,560. The program also includes 30 days of paid annual leave. In addition, participants will be entitled to extra compensation for overtime, weekend work, and work carried out on public holidays.

The selection is open to applicants aged 18 to 25. Candidates must have German language skills at no lower than B1 level and provide the relevant language certificate. They must also hold a Category B driver’s license. Another condition is that their school leaving certificate must be recognized in Germany.

Those who pass the selection process will be able to raise their German to B2 level through free courses in Tashkent. Deutsche Bahn will also support selected participants with visa procedures, housing, and registration in Germany.

For more information, applicants can contact Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency at +998 90 054 02 27. The Migration Agency had earlier announced another selection process for Uzbek citizens who want to work as truck drivers in Germany. Under that program, participants would receive a monthly salary of €1,800 after taxes until their professional qualifications are officially recognized.

Applicants for that program must have a Category C or CE driver’s license and at least two years of work experience. Those who successfully complete the selection process will be offered six months of free German language training and accommodation in Tashkent.
