Uzbekistan offers cooperation in the industrial sector to the EAEU based on Innoprom agreements

Uzbekistan has proposed to the Eurasian Economic Union to prepare an industrial cooperation program based on the Innoprom agreements. Abdulla Aripov said at a meeting in Cholponota that the document should include promising projects and sources of financing, and that Uzbekistan is ready to open a cooperation office in the country.

Uzbekistan has proposed to the members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) to develop a cooperation program in the industrial sector. This proposal is based on the agreements reached at the Innoprom. Central Asia exhibition held in Tashkent in the spring. This was announced by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, TASS reported.

At a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan, Aripov said: "Bringing industrial cooperation to a new level. We propose to develop a joint cooperation program based on the agreements reached within the framework of the 'Innoprom. Central Asia' exhibition."

The Uzbek side proposed to include in this document a list of promising projects, production sites, partners and specific sources of financing. The Uzbek government also expressed its readiness to open a cooperation office in the country that would work with the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The Prime Minister noted that this proposal is one of the directions for the practical implementation of the initiatives to develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Union, put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Kazakhstan in May.

The meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is taking place on August 6-7 in the city of Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region. It is attended by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, as well as representatives of Iran and Cuba.

At the same time, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with the heads of governments of the Eurasian Economic Union member states (Uzbekistan is an observer).
