Uzbekistan and South Korea have agreed to expand cooperation in culture and the arts through joint projects, museum exchanges and professional cooperation.

Uzbekistan’s Culture and Arts Development Foundation and Arts Council Korea (ARKO) have agreed to broaden cooperation in culture and the arts. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on 5 September.
The agreement calls for joint projects in a number of fields, including exhibition and curatorial work, research initiatives, and exchanges involving artists and relevant specialists from both countries.
Another area of cooperation will be between museums and other cultural institutions in Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. The sides also intend to build professional ties and share experience in museum work.
Under the memorandum, the parties will examine different approaches to supporting and developing the arts, along with modern museum practices.
This form of cooperation is expected to help expand professional exchanges between representatives of the cultural sectors of the two countries.
