Uzbekistan finished the Para Asian Games in 3rd place

At the V Para Asian Games held in Japan, the delegation of Uzbekistan collected 145 medals and took 3rd place in the overall team standings. This became the highest result in the history of parasport in our country.

In the competition that took place on October 18–24 in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, Japan, Uzbek athletes won 45 gold, 49 silver, and 51 bronze medals.

In the overall team standings, the Chinese delegation took first place, while the host Japan took second place. Uzbekistan secured a spot in the top three.

It is worth noting that for the first time in the history of the Para Asian Games, Uzbekistan entered the top three in the overall team standings. Prior to this, the country's best performance was recorded at the 2014 competition held in South Korea, when our delegation took 5th place.

With this, the delegation of Uzbekistan renewed its best result in terms of the number and quality of medals.

In the competition, Uzbek para-athletes successfully participated in athletics, swimming, and other sports, also breaking a number of Asian and competition records.
