Uzbekistan delivers 15 trucks of humanitarian aid to Iran
Uzbekistan delivered second batch of humanitarian aid to the people of Iran. The shipment was transported in 15 trucks and included medicines and medical supplies.
Uzbekistan has delivered a second consignment of humanitarian aid to the people of Iran, as announced by the press service of its Foreign Ministry. The shipment, transported in 15 trucks, comprised medicines and various medical supplies.
The humanitarian cargo was formally handed over to Iranian representatives at the Artyk-Lotfabad border checkpoint, located on the Turkmen-Iranian border.
The handover ceremony was attended by a number of officials, including Ravshan Alimov, Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan; Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani, Iran’s ambassador to Turkmenistan; Mojtaba Bazmara, the mayor of Dargaz; and Heydari Fard, a representative from the Iranian foreign ministry in Razavi Khorasan province. Officials from customs, medical, and humanitarian organizations were also present.
According to the statement, Iranian officials expressed their gratitude to the president and the people of Uzbekistan for their practical assistance during this difficult period.
This latest delivery follows humanitarian support Uzbekistan previously extended to Iran in March, which included food products, medicines, and medical supplies.
