Uzbekistan and Armenia sign memorandum on cooperation in legal information

A delegation from Armenia’s Official Gazette CJSC, which operates under the country’s Ministry of Justice, visited the Adolat National Legal Information Center under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice to share experience and discuss possible joint projects. The visit centered on cooperation in the processing and distribution of legal information, including the systematization, substantive processing and translation of legislative acts, as well as the use of digital technologies to make legal information accessible to users.

During the meetings, members of the Armenian delegation were informed about the work of the Adolat center and its procedures for the legal and technical processing of regulatory legal acts. The two sides also examined the information technologies currently used in this field. As part of the visit, the Adolat National Legal Information Center and Armenia’s Official Gazette signed a memorandum of understanding. The document calls for strengthening bilateral cooperation in legal information and the technical modernization of legislative databases.

The memorandum also includes cooperation on the translation and publication of legislative acts. Members of the Armenian delegation visited departments responsible for the legal and technical processing of regulatory legal acts. They reviewed the procedures used to systematize and process legislation and were introduced to the center’s current working practices.
