Uzbekistan Approves Risk Analysis System for Oversight in Religious Sphere

Uzbekistan has approved an electronic risk analysis system to support oversight of religious educational institutions, Umrah activities and religious materials.

Uzbekistan has officially endorsed a new risk analysis system designed to oversee its religious sector. The Ministry of Justice in Tashkent registered the regulations for this electronic "Risk Analysis" system on July 15, 2026, under document number 3899. This framework will apply to religious educational institutions, the organization and execution of Umrah activities, and the preparation, import, and distribution of religious materials.
