An agreement on the establishment of the Supreme-Level Strategic Partnership Council was signed by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. It was noted that the document will create a solid institutional basis for further deepening political dialogue and expanding practical cooperation in priority areas.

A meeting was held between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, it was reported.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Uzbek leader congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, as well as on the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan and the productive chairmanship in the CIS.
Special attention was paid to the issues of further deepening the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan strategic partnership relations.
The positive dynamics in trade and economic cooperation was noted. It was emphasized that the volume of trade turnover has been steadily increasing since the beginning of the year, and the "Shavat - Dashoguz" border trade zone is operating successfully.
The importance of adopting an action plan to multiply the volume of mutual trade and a Cooperation Program in areas such as industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and water management, and implementing it at the level of the regions of the two countries, was noted.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement on the establishment of the Supreme-Level Strategic Partnership Council was signed. This document creates a solid institutional basis for further deepening political dialogue and expanding practical cooperation in priority areas.
