Uzbekistan and Türkiye discussed the development of parliamentary dialogue
The interparliamentary groups of Uzbekistan and Turkey discussed the roadmap for 2026–2027, trade, investment, and new visits.
Uzbekistan and Turkey held talks on expanding parliamentary cooperation.

On August 13, the regular meeting of the Uzbekistan-Turkey and Turkey-Uzbekistan interparliamentary cooperation groups was held. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of affairs and future directions of bilateral cooperation.
The press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported that special attention was paid to the implementation of the parliamentary cooperation roadmap for 2026–2027.
The meeting noted that relations between the two countries, thanks to the political will and mutual trust of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey, have reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The participants emphasized the intensification of interparliamentary dialogue and mutual visits in recent years. In particular, the parties discussed the implementation of the cooperation roadmap for 2026–2027, signed in April between the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
The meeting included an exchange of views on organizing joint events and visits, sharing experiences in lawmaking and parliamentary oversight, and supporting mutual initiatives in international parliamentary organizations.
Special attention was paid to developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation. The parties discussed legislative support for industrial cooperation projects, the development of transport and transit, educational, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the expansion of interregional ties.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to ensure parliamentary oversight of the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. Furthermore, the parties agreed to organize a visit by the leadership of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to Uzbekistan.
It was also decided to ensure the participation of young parliamentarians from Turkey in the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, which will be held in Samarkand.
