Uzbekistan and Samara region expand business cooperation

Business ties between Uzbekistan and Samara region are expanding

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On August 7, a business forum was held in Samara on the theme "Further expansion of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Samara region."

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Odilkhon Rustamov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Samara region Valery Fomichev, as well as representatives of government agencies, business associations and more than 100 enterprises operating in such sectors as automotive, mechanical engineering, chemical, light and food industries, construction, transport and logistics, ICT and tourism.

The forum discussed issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Samara region, developing industrial cooperation, attracting investments and increasing export volumes.

In his speech, Odilkhon Rustamov noted that by the end of 2025, the volume of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Russia will approach 13 billion US dollars, the number of enterprises with Russian capital in our country has exceeded 3 thousand, and more than 40 special economic zones operate in the republic.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Samara region within the framework of the forum.

Samara entrepreneurs were also invited to use the opportunities of Uzbekistan's free economic zone aimed at the Afghan market, and an agreement was reached on the visit of a Samara business delegation to Uzbekistan in September.

A number of contracts and agreements were signed as a result of the B2B negotiations.
