Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On July 17, 2026, Akram Aliyev, Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, met with Marion Edel, the Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan, to discuss broadening bilateral economic cooperation.

The officials reviewed the current status and future prospects of their collaboration in the fields of trade, investment, and technology.

During their discussion, it was noted that bilateral trade between the two countries grew by 13.2% in 2025, reaching US$1.4 billion. The total volume of German investment implemented in Uzbekistan stood at US$6.4 billion.
