Uzbekistan and EADB discussed investments in the mining industry

Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) discussed prospects for expanding investment cooperation and financing projects in the mining and metallurgical industries.

A meeting between First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology Feruza Hamidova and a delegation of the bank took place at the ministry. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology.

The EDB delegation was led by Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Alexey Skatin.

During the talks, the parties reviewed opportunities for attracting financing for promising projects in the mining and metallurgical industries of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the bank stated their interest in financing economically viable initiatives and their readiness to consider proposals from the Uzbek side.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue interaction and work out possible areas for further cooperation.
