Uzbekistan and Czech Republic Launch Medical Workforce Program

Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic will launch a programme in September 2026 to train Uzbek healthcare professionals for employment in Czech medical institutions.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's Migration Agency has confirmed that the country, in partnership with the Czech Republic, is advancing with a program designed to train and subsequently employ Uzbek healthcare professionals in both public and private medical institutions throughout the Czech Republic.

This initiative builds upon agreements established during Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš's visit to Uzbekistan.

Following discussions involving Migration Agency Director Behzod Musaev, representatives from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic, and Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtěch, the parties reached a consensus to initiate a program. This program will prepare Uzbek medical personnel for work in the Czech Republic, leading to their eventual employment, including in skilled positions within state-owned and private healthcare facilities.

The program's scope includes Czech language instruction, development of professional skills, the creation of dual education frameworks, and simplified procedures for the recognition of academic diplomas and professional qualifications.
