Uzbekistan and China's Eximbank to expand investment cooperation
Uzbekistan and China's Eximbank discussed the implementation of projects worth $1.05 billion and the expansion of their joint investment portfolio.

Uzbekistan and China's Eximbank intend to deepen investment cooperation.
On August 25, Ilzat Kasymov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, met with Wang Kang, Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China. During the talks, the parties discussed ways to expand financial cooperation and the progress of joint investment projects, according to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.
The total portfolio of joint projects between Uzbekistan and China's Eximbank exceeds USD 5.7 billion. A telecommunications project worth USD 500 million is currently being actively implemented.
Particular attention at the meeting was given to seven promising projects with a total value of USD 1.05 billion. These projects cover key sectors such as hydropower, water infrastructure, agriculture, and transport.
Among the priority initiatives, the Pungan-Namangan highway project stands out.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in accelerating the implementation of priority projects and further expanding the joint investment portfolio.
