Uzbekistan and Belarus exchanged experience in elevator safety

On August 17, 2026, representatives of Uzbekistan and Belarus held a working meeting via videoconference dedicated to elevator safety and state supervision of their operation.
Representatives of the Belarusian State Industrial Supervision Authority and the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the event, according to the Belarusian State Industrial Supervision Authority.
The main topic of the meeting was studying Belarusian experience in elevator equipment safety and organizing state supervision of the safe operation of elevators.
The Belarusian side was represented by Andrei Konchik, Deputy Head of the State Industrial Supervision Authority; Yegor Senkevich, Chief Specialist of the Department for Supervision of Lifting Equipment and Attractions; Viktor Yurchik, Chief State Inspector of the Grodno Regional Administration; and Tatyana Logutova and Viktoria Alisievich, employees of the International Cooperation Department.
Uzbekistan was represented at the working meeting by Makhamatkhoja Saidazimov, Head of the Department of Strategic Planning and Information Analytics and Advisor to the Chairman of the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety; Akhror Akramov, Chief Specialist of the Department of Public Services; and Abror Tillaboev, Chief Specialist of the Supervisory and Administrative Activities Department.
During the meeting, the Belarusian side presented reports on key areas of work. Yegor Senkevich presented a report on the circulation of elevator equipment in Belarus and the organization of its safe operation. Viktor Yurchik spoke about state supervision of the safe operation of elevators in the country.
The participants discussed the specifics of state supervision, the legal basis for the regulatory activities of the two agencies, and the practice of conducting control and preventive measures during the operation of elevators.
The parties noted the similarities in approaches to state control and supervision in Belarus and Uzbekistan. They also discussed the specifics of the work of the relevant agencies, the difficulties that arise in this area, and possible solutions.
The meeting was held in pursuance of the Joint Action Plan for 2026–2027 to implement the agreement between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus and the State Committee for Industrial Safety of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of industrial, nuclear, and radiation safety in the use of atomic energy.
