Uzbekistan Airports Reduces Livestock Handling Fees.
Uzbekistan Airports has introduced preferential rates for handling cattle, sheep, and goats imported into Uzbekistan by air. These new terms apply at the country's international airports when payment is made by consignees.
The preferential rates apply to key operations performed after the aircraft's arrival. These include the pickup and unloading of animals, their stowage, and cargo handling at the destination airport.
The Commercial Department of Uzbekistan Airports emphasized that the rate change will enable businesses to reduce airport handling costs and the overall cost of transporting animals to Uzbekistan.
"This decision will allow businesses to reduce airport handling costs and overall reduce the cost of transporting animals to Uzbekistan. This is especially relevant for large shipments, where logistics costs directly impact the final price of the imported livestock," the department stated.
For information on current rates, how they are applied, and terms of service, consignees are advised to contact Uzbekistan's international airports directly.
Preferential tariffs were introduced as part of measures to develop livestock farming and stimulate livestock imports by air. These measures are stipulated by Presidential Decree No. 179 of May 12, 2026.
Uzbekistan Airports expects the updated tariff policy to increase the attractiveness of livestock air transportation for entrepreneurs and facilitate the further development of cargo services at the country's airports.
