Uzbek companies' participation in the Belarusian exchange trading has been simplified

Participation in Belarusian Exchange Trading Simplified for Uzbek Companies
Uzbek companies accredited on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) will be able to participate in trading on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) without paying a deposit. Previously, new clients were required to pay this amount to secure obligations under exchange transactions.
This decision was made within the framework of the roadmap for the development of trade, economic, social, and humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan for 2026–2030.
Now, companies that have already completed accreditation on UZEX will be able to enter Belarusian trading without an additional deposit. This deposit is an amount that participants pay to ensure the fulfillment of obligations under transactions.
A separate section has also appeared on the UZEX website containing data on goods available on the Belarusian platform, trading schedules, daily quotes, and buy and sell orders. A similar section with information about the Uzbek exchange has been created on the BUCE website.
Cooperation between the two exchanges is regulated by a strategic partnership agreement signed in February 2026. The document provides for mutual access of enterprises of the two countries to exchange markets and the exchange of information.
According to the Belarusian side, Uzbekistan ranks third among countries in terms of exchange trade volume on this platform. For January–September, the amount of transactions involving Uzbek companies reached 129% of the level of the same period in 2025.
Currently, 307 Uzbek companies are accredited on the Belarusian exchange — 55 more than at the beginning of the year. Two of them hold the status of exchange brokers.
It was previously reported that foreign investors in Uzbekistan are planned to be allowed to purchase shares and bonds of local companies without opening a brokerage account in the country.
