Public utilities apologized to residents of the Shaykhantakhur district for a prolonged power outage

Power engineers responded to complaints and discussions on social media regarding a drawn-out power outage in the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent.

The relevant department reported that on October 22, 2026, scheduled technical work was carried out at the 35/10/6 kV "Sevinch" substation to commission a recently installed T-3 transformer with a capacity of 6,300 kilovolt-amperes.

Consumers were officially warned about the upcoming outage a day before the work began, and throughout the day, the progress of the process was covered via video clips on the service's official social media pages. The delay from the original schedule occurred due to technical processes necessary for the safe connection to the power grid and the startup of the new transformer.

In this regard, it was decided to extend the temporary suspension of electricity supply from 17:00 to 21:00, about which subscribers were sent an additional notification. Specialists apologized to residents for the inconvenience caused and asked for understanding regarding the ongoing measures.
