US singer D4vd to go on trial for murder in death of teen

The star is accused of killing Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were found in a Tesla registered to his address.

American singer D4vd is slated to stand trial for murder in connection with the death of a teenage girl, a judge has determined.

This ruling follows a five-day preliminary hearing where Los Angeles prosecutors presented a dozen witnesses and photographic evidence. The family of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was present throughout the proceedings.

The musician, legally known as David Anthony Burke, is accused of killing Hernandez, whose remains were discovered last September in a Tesla registered to his address.

Burke, 21, has entered a plea of not guilty to charges of murder and sexual abuse.

Text messages indicate that the 14-year-old, allegedly murdered by singer D4vd, had experienced pregnancy and an abortion.
