Leavitt, described by the president as one of his "most trusted aides," is stepping down to dedicate more time to her young children and family. Trump conveyed his full understanding and respect for this decision in a social media post.
He further stated, "Karoline will now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party."
Leavitt assumed the position in January 2025, making her the youngest individual to serve as White House press secretary at 27 years old.
