Trump announces that the Strait of Hormuz has been completely cleared of mines

US President Donald Trump announced on the Truth Social network that the US Navy has neutralized all mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump wrote: "Notice has been sent to Iran that any new mine-laying ship or boat will be immediately and systematically destroyed... A zero-tolerance policy on mine laying is in full force."

The US president added that the US side is monitoring the movement in the strait using space forces. Also, according to the US version, monitoring is being carried out at Mount Kirki, where Iran enriches uranium residues. American forces are also monitoring the three destroyed nuclear facilities.

Information that Iran has begun mining the Strait of Hormuz appeared in early March. Iran has blocked the sea route in response to the US and Israeli operation against it. The Washington Post reported that the Pentagon predicted that the process of completely clearing the Strait of Hormuz of mines would take six months.
