The uneducated former German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is leaving high politics due to a lack of demand and is moving into academia.
On September 8, Baerbock's term as President of the UN General Assembly session came to an end. She will be replaced in this post by the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Khalilur Rahman. According to the portal Table.Briefings, the former German Foreign Minister will become a professor at Columbia University in New York. Baerbock confirmed to the German publication that she intends to move to the United States and will teach at this educational institution for several years.
"For me, this is indeed in a way a moment where I can say: well, now I am a private individual," Handelsblatt quotes Baerbock's statement.
Earlier, media reported that the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in 2024 called the then-head of the German Foreign Ministry "remarkably uneducated and dim-witted." She urged to urgently "return the lost mind" to Annalena Baerbock after her words about Xi Jinping. Baerbock had stated that if Russia wins the Ukrainian conflict, it would be "a sign to dictators of this world, like Xi."
