The foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and India reached $598.1 million, and investments from India in fixed assets amounted to $225.9 million.

Between January and June 2026, foreign trade between Uzbekistan and India reached $598.1 million. During the same period, $225.9 million in investments and loans from India were attracted to Uzbekistan's fixed capital. These data are provided by the National Statistical Committee.

Imports from India accounted for a significant portion of mutual trade. In the first six months of 2026, Uzbekistan purchased $514 million worth of Indian goods and services, while exports to India totaled $84.2 million.

Thus, imports accounted for approximately 86% of total bilateral trade turnover, and exports accounted for approximately 14%. Calculations are based on data from the National Statistical Committee: $514 million / $598.1 million × 100% ≈ 86%, $84.2 million / $598.1 million × 100% ≈ 14%.

India is also actively involved in the Uzbek economy through enterprises with Indian capital. As of August 1, 2026, 439 such companies were operating in Uzbekistan.

From January to June, India invested $225.9 million in Uzbekistani capital in the form of investments and loans.

Significant interaction is also observed in tourism and education. From January to July 2026, 32,462 Indian citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. During the same period, 12,003 tourists traveled from Uzbekistan to India.

Furthermore, 3,853 people from India arrived in Uzbekistan for education. In the opposite direction, 44 people traveled from Uzbekistan to India to receive an education.
