Tourism Committee, Skydiving Federation Explore Collaboration
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee, held a meeting with Alexey Borshuk, head of the Skydiving Federation of Uzbekistan. Their discussion centered on advancing adventure and extreme tourism and devising novel tourism offerings, as announced by the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
The dialogue focused on strategies to more efficiently leverage Uzbekistan's inherent capacity for expanding this sector of tourism. It was noted that skydiving operations are presently conducted at the Syrdarya Markaziy location within the Syrdarya district.
Both parties acknowledged that Uzbekistan's advantageous climate, extended flying season, and existing infrastructure present opportunities to position the nation as a promising hub for extreme tourism.
Significant emphasis was placed on marketing skydiving tourism to both local and international visitors, alongside enhancing the tourism allure of Uzbekistan's various regions through the organization of international skydiving contests and festivals.
Subsequent to the meeting, the Skydiving Federation committed to formulating recommendations for refining the regulatory framework and executing initiatives designed to further cultivate extreme tourism throughout Uzbekistan.
