UFC President Dana White announced when Ilia Topuria will return to the octagon.
“Topuria will return in early 2027. We are working on it,” White said.
The athlete’s last fight took place in June 2026. At that time, he lost to Justin Gaethje by technical knockout at a UFC event held at the White House. Topuria suffered a broken jaw bone in that fight. Following that, the fighter returned to Georgia and stated that he was training.
“I returned to where it all began. Not to indulge in memories, but to rethink everything. The Matador is returning,” Topuria wrote on his social media pages.
