Timur Ismailov dismissed from the post of Head of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs

Timur Ismailov was relieved of his post as Head of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs and appointed First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Head of the Public Security Department. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on August 21.
Prior to this appointment, that is, from January 2024, he had been serving as Head of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs. Prior to this, he served as Head of the Main Department for Combating Terrorism and Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as Head of the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
With this new appointment, carried out on the basis of the relevant presidential decree, Timur Ismailov was assigned important tasks to further improve the system of ensuring public security, preventing offenses and preventing crime.
It was also required to strictly monitor the tasks of digitizing the system, strengthen cooperation between internal affairs bodies with other state agencies and public organizations, widely introduce modern methods of maintaining public order, and effectively organize measures aimed at increasing the legal culture of the population and trust in law enforcement agencies.
