It includes founders and researchers from major AI companies, as well as active critics of various aspects of this technology. Time magazine has been compiling a list of the most influential people in the field of artificial intelligence since 2023.
Time divided all participants in the list into four main categories:
1. The **"Leaders"** category includes OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Anthropic founders Dario and Daniela Amodei, as well as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
2. **Innovators** include American actor, director and founder of InterPositive, a startup focused on the use of artificial intelligence in cinema, Ben Affleck, and Chinese founder of Moonshot AI, Yan Zhilin.
3. **Shapers** include actress Paris Hilton (for her fight against deepfakes), American politician Bernie Sanders (for his criticism of the negative impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market and society as a whole), and investor and co-chair of the US President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology David Sachs.
4. **Thinkers** include Ilya Sutskever, co-founder of OpenAI and creator of Safe Superintelligence, a startup focused on the development of safe superintelligence; Mira Murati, founder of Thinking Machines, a startup focused on the development of artificial intelligence and its interaction with humans; and Josh Parker, director of sustainability at Nvidia Corporation.
