Three new bus routes to be launched between Tashkent and suburbs
Three new bus routes are planned to open in Tashkent, connecting the capital with the Tashkent and Zangiata districts of the region. This was reported by the Main Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development of Tashkent.
To organize the transportation, Keles Renesans LLC signed a contract to purchase 54 buses from the Chinese manufacturer ZHONGTONG. According to the department, the necessary initial payments have already been made. It is expected that all vehicles will arrive by the end of November 2026.
Taking passenger traffic into account, the buses will be allocated across three routes:
No. 162 — from the "Kushkundi" makhalla to the bus station of the "Chorsu" shopping center;
No. 163 — from the "Tukimachilar" makhalla to the bus station of the "Chorsu" shopping center;
No. 167 — from the "Tashkent" collective farm to the bus station of the "Chorsu" shopping center.
Route No. 163 will pass through the "Tukimachi", "Nazarbek", and "Tarnov" makhallas, as well as along Shifobakhsh suvlar and Beruni streets.
The transport department expects that the new routes will help shorten waiting intervals for buses, reduce the load on existing routes, and make travel between the suburbs and Tashkent more convenient.
At the same time, the exact launch dates for the routes and the bus schedules have not yet been specified.
