Three arrested in South Africa over one of nine women's bodies found

Three people have been arrested in South Africa in connection with one of the bodies of nine women found in the area.
Jabulile Ntimba’s body was discovered beside a road last Thursday.
Police in South Africa have detained three suspects over the murder of a woman in an area east of Johannesburg, the latest of nine recent cases in the region that has drawn attention to violence against women in the country.
Facing pressure to resolve the series of killings, in which victims’ bodies were left on roadsides, police called the arrests of the three suspects — one man and two women — a “breakthrough”.
Speaking about all nine cases, acting police chief Lt Gen Puleng Dimpane said her officers were “working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice”.
The three suspects are expected in court on Monday morning.
Their case concerns the death of Jabulile Ntimba, whose half-naked body was found wrapped in a sheet in Dawn Park last Thursday.
Several of the recent victims were found partly clothed and injured, but police have said they have not determined whether the deaths are linked or whether a serial killer is involved.
