It was revealed that the head of a travel agency operating in the city of Kokand promised to send 2 citizens on the Umrah pilgrimage and demanded 2,200 USD.
During a joint operation conducted by the State Security Service and Internal Affairs bodies, he was caught with physical evidence while receiving the requested money.
In the case identified in the Namangan region, an employee of a travel agency operating in the Chortoq district demanded 2,200 USD in exchange for sending 2 citizens on the Umrah pilgrimage and was detained with physical evidence by SSS and Internal Affairs officers while receiving an advance payment of 400 USD.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these individuals, and investigative actions are underway.
