Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that there are only two powerful nations in the world — China and the USA.
“They are the two most powerful nations in the world, there is no third,” he said during his speech at the VIII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party.
According to Aliyev, Baku has established strategic partnerships with both Washington and Beijing simultaneously: a declaration on strategic partnership was signed with China, and a strategic charter was signed with the USA.
“The trust in us, the attitude towards us, the belief in our word. There is no one left in the world who does not know that our word is as valuable as our signature. Whatever we say, we stand by our word. We have never played a double game. We have never acted with hypocrisy or insincerity towards any country. Although we have encountered such attitudes many times, and we still encounter them today. But we will never be like them. We are people who respect ourselves, we live with dignity, and we conduct our policy with dignity,” said the President of Azerbaijan.
