The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the University of Cambridge discussed cooperation.

Uzbek Health Minister Eldor Adilov held talks with representatives of the University of Cambridge specializing in medical education. The parties focused on improving the quality of medical training and modernizing educational programs, according to the Ministry of Health press service.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Uzbekistan is actively working to improve the level of medical education, striving to bring it into line with international standards.

As part of this effort, medical university curricula are being revised, the connection between theory and clinical practice is being strengthened, students' practical skills are being developed, and modern assessment methods are being introduced.

Eldor Adilov emphasized that the University of Cambridge is a key partner in this area.

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the training of medical personnel and the implementation of modern, results-oriented models of medical education. Particular attention was paid to a comprehensive analysis and improvement of the curricula of medical higher education institutions, taking into account international approaches. The gradual adaptation of the University of Cambridge's best practices to the specifics of the national education system was also discussed.

The meeting noted the importance of the upcoming two-day practical seminar for the further development of the partnership.

Following the talks, the parties expressed mutual interest in developing cooperation in medical education.
