The statistical data covers the period from May 1 to September 7 of this year. During this timeframe, the most-watched movies in US theaters were:

Prior to this, the highest figure was recorded in the summer of 2013, when revenue reached $4.75 billion. That year, films such as "Iron Man 3", "Man of Steel", and "Despicable Me 2" were released.
