The share of the services sector in the economy of Uzbekistan has exceeded 50 percent.
According to the National Statistics Committee, in the first six months of 2026, the total value added of sectors in the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan amounted to 1,027.6 trillion soums, which is 95.8 percent of total GDP. Net taxes on products amounted to 45 trillion soums, which is 4.2 percent of GDP.
The largest share of gross value added by sector fell on the services sector. In this direction, 521.6 trillion soums of added value were created, which was 50.8 percent of the total.
Industry took second place in GDP after the services sector. During the reporting period, the gross added value of the industrial sector reached 272.6 trillion soums, its share was 26.5 percent.
In the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector, a gross added value of 154.3 trillion soums was generated. The share of this sector in GDP was 15 percent.
In the construction sector, a gross added value of 79.2 trillion soums was generated over the first half of the year. As a result, the share of this sector in the economy reached 7.7 percent.
These indicators for the first half of 2026 confirm that the services sector is the sector that creates the largest added value in the economy of Uzbekistan, its share exceeded 50 percent.
