The search for a 54-year-old Uzbek man missing at sea in Turkey has ended.

The search for a 54-year-old Uzbek citizen missing at sea in Turkey has concluded. His body was found by rescuers in the Şile district on the Asian side of Istanbul after a two-day search.
According to local media reports, the incident occurred on August 16 at approximately 3:15 PM on Macera Park Beach. Five swimmers were caught in a strong current and began to drown. Coast guards, firefighters, and medical personnel quickly arrived at the scene. Four were rescued, but the fifth man was swept out to sea and disappeared from sight.
Coast guard boats, firefighting crews, and volunteers participated in the search and rescue operation. The search areas in the Karakiraz district were also monitored from the air. On the afternoon of August 18, the coast guard recovered the body of the deceased in the water and transported it to the morgue of the Institute of Forensic Medicine. Reports are circulating on social media that the deceased was a well-known businessman and public figure from Kokand, who was living in Turkey. Officials have not yet commented on this information.
Earlier, it was reported that an Uzbek citizen died in Ufa, Russia. The man drowned in the Belaya River after deciding to swim in a prohibited area.
