The Sangardak complex was launched in the Sariasiysky district.
The first phase of the Sangardak tourist complex, designed to accommodate 800,000 tourists per year, has been completed in the Sariasiya district of Uzbekistan.
The Sangardak Tourist Complex Opens in Sariasiya District
The first phase of the Sangardak Tourist Complex has opened in the Sariasiya District of the Surkhandarya Region. Currently, 37 tourist infrastructure facilities are operational within the project, and a modern cable car allows the complex to accommodate up to 800,000 visitors annually, according to the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
A total of 152 projects with a total investment value of $76 million are planned for the Sangardak Tourist Center. During the first phase, guesthouses, bungalows and chalets, restaurants, ayvans, a zipline, swings, and other tourist services were commissioned.
One of the centerpieces of the complex is a 1,535-meter-long cable car built by the Austrian company Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH. The cable car is now open to visitors.
To provide the complex with the necessary infrastructure, the project included the installation of 14 km of drinking water supply lines, 4.2 km of sewer lines, and 3.2 km of electrical lines. In addition, three water reservoirs and eight transformer substations were constructed.
As part of the landscaping work, 4 km of roads were paved and the associated road infrastructure was created.
The launch of the first phase of the project is timed to coincide with the upcoming 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
