The President visited an enterprise in Karshi where agricultural machinery is assembled under the "Nasaf" brand
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the "FM World" enterprise in the city of Karshi.
This complex, which is part of the "Jiangsu World Group" corporation—one of China's 500 largest private enterprises—was established fully through foreign investment.
The project, valued at $20 million, occupies an area of 5 hectares. Manufacturing buildings spanning 12,000 square meters have been constructed here, and 200 jobs have been created. Certain production processes are automated.
The enterprise assembles five models of tractors, cotton harvesters, and other agricultural machinery under the "Nasaf" brand.
The tractors are equipped with GPS, autopilot, fertilization control, and remote monitoring systems. This serves to perform field work precisely and reduce the consumption of fuel and other resources.
The enterprise also regularly conducts training sessions on servicing machinery in field conditions, advance fault detection, and their safe operation.
Currently, the localization level in tractor assembly stands at 30 percent. The enterprise itself manufactures 138 types of details and components. The importance of expanding the production of components and strengthening cooperation with local enterprises to gradually increase the level of localization was noted. It is planned to bring the enterprise's annual export volume to $50 million and deliver 30 percent of the products to neighboring countries.
The President got acquainted with the manufacturing process and the finished machinery.
"Until now, we used to import agricultural machinery from abroad. This affected the cost. In Kashkadarya, producing modern machinery that eases the work of our farmers right here, under our own brand, was once a dream. Localization is an integral continuation of our reforms in agriculture. We will consistently continue such work," the head of state said.
