In Fergana, the national teams of Uzbekistan and Iran played a friendly match. The players of head coach Fabio Cannavaro won with a score of 3:1. Eldor Shomurodov scored two goals.
Uzbekistan national team defeated Iran in a friendly match
On September 24, the Uzbekistan national team took the field in a friendly match against the Iran national team in the city of Fergana. This was the first match for head coach Fabio Cannavaro's pupils after the World Cup.
In the 10th minute, Eldor Shomurodov took possession of the ball inside the penalty area after a "gift" from the opponent's defender and sent it into the goal.
In the 49th minute, Ramin Rezaeian accurately executed a free kick and equalized the score.
In the 58th minute, Eldor Shomurodov scored a penalty goal, putting the national team ahead again. In the minutes added to the main time, Husayin Norchaev put the final touch.
