The key rate has been left unchanged at 14 percent per annum

At its meeting on September 16, the Board of the Central Bank decided to keep the key rate unchanged at 14 percent per annum.

Inflation continues to decline.

In August, headline inflation was 6.2%;

• core inflation was 5.5%.

Despite some signs of stabilization in the economy, inflationary pressures still persist.

In particular, the decline in inflation expectations is slower compared to headline inflation; high global commodity, food, and energy prices, as well as the process of liberalizing regulated prices, are assessed as the main inflationary risks.

Positive real interest rates are supporting the population's propensity to save. The Central Bank will continue to ensure the necessary monetary conditions to bring inflation down to the 5% target by the end of 2027.

The next meeting to review the key rate is scheduled for October 28, 2026, the CB report says.
