The Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan cooperates with the Balikesir Journalists' Society

The Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan has established cooperation with the Balikesir Journalists' Union of Turkey. This was announced when representatives of the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan participated in a ceremony dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Balikesir Journalists' Union.

At the event, the Chairman of the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Oripov noted the development of cooperation in the media sector between the two countries and congratulated the leadership and members of the Union on this important date.

During the ceremony, the main areas of cooperation were discussed with the Chairman of the Balikesir Journalists' Union Semra Aman Akyurak. In particular, an agreement was reached on establishing cooperation between the Union and the Bukhara regional branch of the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, it was noted that mutual cooperation could cover various areas. In particular, the possibilities of improving the skills of journalists, organizing joint training courses in digital media, artificial intelligence and new technologies were considered.

Within the framework of this cooperation, it is planned to hold media forums in the cities of Bukhara and Balikesir, organize seminars-trainings, master classes and online educational programs for journalists and media workers.

The importance of joint media projects aimed at widely covering the friendly and fraternal relations, history, culture, literature, tourism, economy and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey in the media and social networks was also emphasized.

It was noted that in the future there are opportunities for cooperation in the areas of journalistic ethics, reliable and impartial dissemination of information, fact-checking, media literacy and the fight against disinformation.
