The International Festival "YONAR" will be held in Karakalpakstan.

The Borsakelmes salt marsh, located in the Kungrad district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, has been selected as the venue for the international festival of experimental art and creative tourism called "YONAR."

The event is scheduled to take place from September 16 to 19, 2026. Its goal is to bring together contemporary art, creativity, creative industries, and tourism to present the region's natural beauty and tourism opportunities to an international audience.

The festival will include informational tours for representatives of domestic and international media, bloggers, and content creators. The resulting photo and video materials will be actively promoted on international and digital platforms.

The salt marsh will be equipped with the necessary infrastructure, including drinking water, catering facilities, sanitary and hygienic facilities, and at least 15 yurts.
