The governor has changed in the city of Navoi
Dilmurod Ergashev, who had been leading the city of Navoi since July 2023, has been relieved of his post. In his place, Bobir Islomov, who previously served as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari" JSC, has been appointed as the hokim of the city.
Khokim changed in Navoiy city
A new khokim has been appointed to Navoiy city.
According to reports, in accordance with the relevant decision of the Khokim of Navoiy Region dated October 13, 2026, Islamov Bobir Khusnidinovich has been appointed as the Khokim of Navoiy city.
Prior to his appointment, he worked as the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Regional Electric Networks" JSC for electric network operations.
Bobir Islamov was born in 1981 in Navbahor district. He graduated from the Navoiy State Mining Institute in 2003, the Bukhara Institute of Food and Light Industry Technology in 2005, and the Higher Business School in 2012.
Dilmurod Ergashev had been leading Navoiy city since July 2023.
The reason for his dismissal was not disclosed.
On July 21, during a video conference dedicated to discussing the results achieved in the first half of the year and the tasks to be completed by the end of the year, the President instructed the Prime Minister to review the suitability of 17 khokims for their posts. The Khokim of Navoiy city was also on the list.
