“The future of Tashkent requires more serious attention and analysis than ever before” — Saida Mirziyoyeva
Saida Mirziyoyeva stated that Tashkent is expanding at a very rapid pace, and considering the current situation regarding urban planning and ecology, its future requires more serious attention and analysis than ever before.
According to the head of the Presidential Administration, a meeting was held for this purpose with initiators of several major architectural projects, independent experts and urbanists, leading specialized creative studios, and representatives of higher education institutions.
“There are many issues we need to find solutions to together – ranging from the heavy burden falling on engineering communications and social facilities to electricity and water supply problems,” Saida Mirziyoyeva said.
She emphasized that new constructions must serve the development of the city, should not create additional imbalances, and must not put excessive pressure on regional systems.
“The goals ahead of us are huge; we will assist business representatives who intend to make Tashkent an even more comfortable, beautiful, clean, and safe place for every compatriot and guest of our city. Exactly this approach fully corresponds to the policy of New Uzbekistan. Because supporting such enterprising business in every possible way is one of the main tasks entrusted to us by our president,” Saida Mirziyoyeva said.
At the end of July, the head of the Presidential Administration criticized the fact that common courtyards, playgrounds, and sports fields in the capital were being completely destroyed due to construction. She gave strict instructions to those responsible regarding illegal construction in Tashkent.
