The first issue of foreign currency bonds has been registered in Uzbekistan

NAPP has registered the first issue of corporate bonds in foreign currency. Asia Alliance Bank acted as the issuer.

In Uzbekistan, the first issue of foreign currency bonds has been registered

The National Agency for Perspective Projects of Uzbekistan has registered the first issue of corporate bonds denominated in foreign currency. This was reported by the NAPP.

The issuer of the bonds is JSC "Asia Alliance Bank". The total volume of the issue is US$20 million, and the nominal value of one bond is set at US$100.

The placement of the securities will be carried out through an open subscription.

The state registration of the issue was conducted in accordance with the Regulation on the procedure for the issue, placement, circulation, and redemption of bonds denominated in foreign currency within the framework of the special legal regime "Regulatory Sandbox" in the capital market sphere, registered on April 29, 2024, under No. 3826.

The opportunity for resident issuers of Uzbekistan to issue corporate bonds denominated in foreign currency was created within the framework of the special legal regime "Regulatory Sandbox" in accordance with the presidential decree dated December 18, 2025, No. UP-254 "On additional measures to improve the investment climate in the capital market."

According to the NAPP, the introduction of the new instrument is aimed at further expanding the range of financial instruments in the capital market of Uzbekistan.
