Creators of the game "Tetris" accused the White House of unauthorized use of the game

The Tetris Company announced that it has no connection to one of the White House's online games created in the style of "Tetris". The company stated that it did not grant permission to use its intellectual property.

The game, titled Build the Wall, invites users to build a barrier on the US-Mexico border. According to the White House's description, the game requires protecting the border from an approaching crowd.

The Tetris Company was not involved in the creation of this game. We believe in the power of "Tetris" to bring people together, not to divide them, the company's statement says.

The company specifically noted that it did not grant a license to use the Tetris brand and its intellectual property.

The White House released a series of five retro-style games related to the policies of US President Donald Trump. In another game among them, created in the style of "Snake", the player controls a digital version of border policy chief Tom Homan. He must apprehend migrants crossing the Rio Grande River.

For information, the world's largest game of "Tetris" involving drones was held in Dubai in December 2025. This famous game was presented in the form of a show. In the game, the Dubai Frame, which is approximately 150 meters high, served as the screen, while drones forming colorful shapes in real-time acted as pixels.
