The Chairman of Tatarstan expressed condolences to the President of Uzbekistan

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his condolences to Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon over the deaths of citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in a drone attack in Nizhnekamsk. A total of 13 people were killed in the attack, including 8 Uzbeks and 1 Tajik.

The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, expressed condolences to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon over the deaths of their citizens in a drone attack on Nizhnekamsk. The press service of the head of the republic told journalists about this, TASS reports.

According to the press service, "Rustam Minnikhanov sent telegrams of condolences to the presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Among the dead are their citizens, a total of 9 people."

One citizen of Tajikistan and 8 citizens of Uzbekistan died as a result of the attack. Minnikhanov noted in his telegrams that all necessary assistance would be provided to the families of the dead and injured.

"We share the pain of irreparable loss. In these difficult times, we are with the families of the victims of the terrible terror. I wish them fortitude, spiritual strength and patience, and a speedy recovery to all those affected," Minnikhanov wrote.

Earlier, the press service of the head of Tatarstan reported that the republic had been attacked by drones on Monday morning. The attack targeted both industrial and civilian facilities.

13 people, including a child, were killed. More than 70 people sought help, 21 were hospitalized. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of a terrorist attack. August 10 has been declared a day of mourning in the republic.
