The Central Bank of Uzbekistan is developing a bank financial inclusion ranking
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan is preparing a ranking of commercial banks that will make it possible to assess their contribution to expanding access to financial services for the population and entrepreneurs.
The ranking will include the availability of banking products both for citizens and for micro, small, and medium-sized business entities.
The assessment plans to take into account not only the ability to receive services, but also the convenience, security, and quality of their provision.
On October 30, 2026, the Central Bank held a discussion on the ranking methodology, assessment criteria, and preliminary calculation results with the participation of commercial bank representatives.
Meeting participants reviewed the data used to calculate the ranking indicators, assessed its reliability, and discussed opportunities for further improvement of the methodology.
The initiative is aimed at expanding access to financial services for the population and entrepreneurs, developing healthy competition among commercial banks, and improving the quality of banking services.
